Welcome to our website Heather and Keith’s travels.

Travelling is our passion, right from the moment we decide where to go, the planning, the holiday and finally updating our website.

In 2015 we decided to move into the modern era and create our own website. The problem was that we didn’t know how to do it. When we asked in a bookshop how to set one up using WordPress the assistant said that they didn’t have any books, but it was easy enough if you could use MS Word and also there is lots of resources on the internet and YouTube. Armed with this information we started our website, and this is it.

The focus of the website was European capital cities which we have now extended this to include our other travels.

People often ask the question why create a website well here are some reasons:

  • It’s a great way to share travel experiences with other’s.
  • Photographs are a snapshot in time and in their way are a time capsule recording the fashions of the day. Who doesn’t like looking at old photographs particularly the embarrassing ones.
  • People take more photographs than ever, but these are on phones, tablets and computers which are rarely viewed.
  • A website brings together photographs as a collage, with an explanation adding meaning.
  • A website can be accessed anywhere unlike physical photographs. Digital photographs even with cloud storage can be hard to find.
  • Looking at your website brings memories flooding back.
